When the material structure of life changes,
thought, ideology, and political forms
must inevitably change as well.
But the dominant consciousness always defends
the system that is fading away.

History is shown here as a sequence of formations —
layers through which states have passed,
leaving traces of their epochs.
Upon reaching the boundary of a new reality,
most come to a halt,
clinging to the capitalist order
as if it were the final possible form of the world.

Only one figure steps forward —
into a space where
robotization, the digital economy,
and a different logic of social relations
are already at work.

On November 5, 2017,
China’s entry into a new historical phase
was declared.
From that moment, the rupture became irreversible:
a new mode of production already exists,
yet the political and cultural consciousness of the old world
continues to deny it.

This work —
is about the resistance of a declining formation,
the struggle for the right to the future,
and that moment
when history has already happened,
but has not yet been acknowledged.
