Chains of Rent. 2026

In this painting, the anxiety of everyday life transforms into a form of dependence.

The fox represents a person slowly drained by the constant burden of rent, instability, and the feeling of living a temporary life.

The crows become obsessive thoughts, the smoke becomes inner noise, while the tentacles and tangled lines evoke chains that imperceptibly take root in everyday life.

This work is not only about loneliness, but also about the modern sense of being unfree — a condition in which a person spends more and more of their life not on building a future, but on earning the right to exist temporarily within someone else’s walls.

The second painting in the series “This Is Me Among My Dark Thoughts”.
