Morning Again . 2026
A sudden jolt of consciousness, pulling us back into a reality where dawn brings no relief. The figure on the canvas seems to have been torn from the emptiness of sleep and thrown straight into the clinging fog of its own thoughts.
This is not the beginning of a new day, but the continuation of an inner siege. The eyes are already open, yet the gaze remains turned inward — toward a place where anxieties, doubts, and shadows swarm.
The painting speaks of a state in which the main event is not the day itself, but the necessity of living through it once again. A state in which exhaustion wakes before the person does, and awakening becomes not a source of hope, but an obligation.
(The work was inspired by a meme created by the author known as “_kadabrus”. My thanks to him.)
The fourth painting in the series “This Is Me Among My Dark Thoughts”.
